"Microbial life strategies and Eco-evolutionary Optimality for 3D Microscale Carbon Modeling"

 

The aim of the project is to develop an approach to microbial parameterisation of a 3D model, based on optimal eco-evolutionarity, in order to increase the model’s realism and flexibility; the model is intended for use on tomographic images of soil aggregates with varying textures. 


The laboratory of Stefano Manzoni, a leading researcher in biogeochemical modelling who studies soil carbon degradation, appears to be an ideal choice for developing this aspect, which is crucial to the successful completion of my PhD thesis.
