Project summary

The aim of this project is to deepen our systemic understanding of the factors that regulate the stabilisation mechanisms of soil organic matter (SOM). Researchers from a range of disciplines will be brought together during three co-development workshops. Participants, grouped in round-table discussions, will interact to provide insights into questions that highlight the limits of their current understanding. These responses will enable us to explore potential solutions aimed at overcoming barriers to understanding through enhanced, multidisciplinary analysis. The workshops will focus on various themes offering multidisciplinary perspectives on the mesosystemic links that regulate the mechanisms stabilising the MOS. The information gathered will be used to consolidate the knowledge acquired during the discussions and to prepare a review article on the subject.
